Guest pot by my friend Cindy Jerisk

I just turned sixty-two years young and I feel great, which has not always been the case. About three years ago I decided to try out a senior citizen workout facility by my house, and boy am I glad that I did. When I first started at the gym I was so out of shape, I could not believe it. Now I am in the best shape I have been in since I was in my early twenties playing football at college. Of course that was before I had hearing loss. It was hard to adjust at first but me and my friends got Digital Hearing Aids which have really helped us feel younger.

A few of us at the gym have started a senior Yoga class, and water aerobics class. It is kind of funny to watch us doing yoga, bending and moving in ways that our bodies try to fight. But I tell you what, I feel like a million bucks when I am done, and that’s all that counts.

From what I have seen these last few years, it’s never too late to get into shape. My weight training partner Larry, is seventy-eight years young, and is just a happy fellow. We can do anything that we put our minds to, and that’s a fact!
